Do you enjoy gardening?
Do you like fresh fruit and vegetables?
Would you like to grow your own?
If the answer is "Yes" to any of the above questions, then we may have an ideal opportunity to satisfy your wishes.
The image of allotments have changed over the last decade and there are many more women and families on sites than with the previous generations.
Wirral Borough Council still has plots available and although some sites have a waiting list, if you are willing to consider alternative sites, you should be able to take up a tenancy fairly quickly. It may even be possible to have a half plot.
The cost of a tenancy for a plot is £28 per annum for 2008 with reductions for those on benefit or over 60.
So for a rewarding pastime and an improvement in the quality of your life, why not visit a site and speak to the site secretary. They have a great bank of knowledge and can point you in the right direction.
